What does the programme involve? TRAININGSeated SOSA Dance Fitness has been created to be fully inclusive, so that EVERYONE can take part inSOSA Dance Fitness Classes.Using routines that are adaptable for all levels of abilities and health conditions, with specialconsiderations for older adults, Seated SOSA Dance Fitness is an authentic International dancefitness programme with a cross genre approach. Authentic Dance Moves – All choreography is designed to stay true to the authentic techniqueof each dance style… just in a CHAIR! Fun-packed – Set to a soundtrack of fun & catchy dance tunes to get you singing as well asdancing! Promotion of wellbeing – Improve your posture, coordination and cardiovascular health…while meeting new friends! Seated SOSA will work wonders for your general happiness andwellbeing! Fully inclusive – Adaptable for all degrees of abilities and health conditions, aimed at inspiringolder adults to be more active Every routine is broken down into easy-to-learn sections which can be delivered at different speedsand levels of difficulty, providing a safe and effective workout for everyone to enjoy. The course consists of 4 hours of pre-course learning before the day (online theory assessment and aroutine to learn for the practical assessment) and training on the day between 10am – 5pm.Followed by delivery of Seated SOSA sessions as detailed in ‘Delivery’ below. DELIVERYEach student will be required to organise and plan the session delivery either at an existingemploying organisation or as self-employed as detailed in their application. The following conditionsapply:1. Start delivering sessions within 4 weeks of completing CPD2. Complete the minimum of 12 sessions, ideally over 12 weeks.3. Undertake community outreach/promotion and upload evidence online.4. Aim to engage at least 10 disabled clients to visit and participate in activity.5.
